LOCAL SCHOOLS AND UNIVERSITIES

Sacramento is home to one of the state's 23 California State University campuses. California State University, Sacramento is located along the American River and boasts an enrollment of about 28,000 students. Find out more here [19].

PUBLIC TRANSIT

The Sacramento Regional Transit system operates buses and light rail lines that cover over 400 square miles in the Sacramento region. To find out more about public transit fares and schedules click here [27].

West Sacramento is served by the Yolo County Transportation District and YOLOBUS [28], which operates local and intercity bus service 365 days a year in Yolo County and neighboring areas.
