On Heels of SB 277 Passage – Another Study Shows Vaccines are Safe

July 8, 2015

Following the historic passage of Dr. Richard Pan’s Senate Bill 277, the RAND Corporation has released a report that supports findings from countless other studies showing that the vaccines administered to U.S. children are very safe and serious side effects are extremely rare. Dr. Pan made the following comment on the study:

“The highly respected research and policy organization, RAND joins numerous other prestigious research organizations around the world in concluding that vaccines are safe, effective and are not linked with autism. We continue to unravel the web of lies and mistruths that Andrew Wakefield and other discredited researchers are spreading to frighten families into not protecting their children from preventable and deadly diseases. It is a shame that so much of our research dollars and energy has to be put into refuting a myth that has been proved repeatedly to be untrue, and I look forward to the day when we can focus our resources to look for the real can be used to look for the real cause for autism and effective therapies.”

The Rand Corporation is a research organization that develops solutions to public policy challenges to help make communities throughout the world safer and more secure, healthier and more prosperous.  The full study can be found here: www.rand.org/pubs/research_briefs/RB9799.html
