Senator Steinberg tackles balancing the state's budget and other issues in the second year of the 2011-12 session
Tackling the balance of the state’s budget deficit, passing public pension reform, focusing on reinvestment in higher education and water infrastructure are all high on the list of issues Senate President pro Tem Darrell Steinberg plans to focus on as the Legislature begins the second year of the 2011-12 session. The Pro Tem outlined these and other goals during his weekly interview on KFBK. “We’re not quite out of the tough times yet but I really can see around the corner for the first time. And my hope this year is that we not only do all that we have to do to ‘hold on,’ but that we actually start building again. There are so many positive things to do in California,” said Steinberg.
