Pro Tem Steinberg covers a variety of issues during weekly KFBK interview
A variety of issues were covered during Senate President pro Tempore Darrell Steinberg’s weekly interview with KFBK radio, including what he hoped to hear from President Obama during the 2012 State of the Union address. The Pro Tem was also asked what he saw as the positive aspects going on in California. “Number one, (the) unemployment rate’s down. Number two, the budget deficit is below $10 billion. Three, we’ve got a Governor and I dare say a Legislature that is focused on the long term here, on fixing our water infrastructure, on high speed rail, on economic development, on changing the ways the schools work and perform. There’s a lot of good going on in this state,” said Steinberg. “We’re not done by any means. It’s better now. It’s not great (but) it’s better. We’ve got to keep going.” Listen to the entire interview here.
